ATTENTION: FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN PARENTS

ATTENTION: FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN PARENTS

In art, your child has been learning about cave art. We have been practicing animal drawings with crayon and paint. We have learned about what materials the cave men used to create paints and to make brushes.

We will finish our unit with a cave painting activity. The activity is a surprise for the students. They only know it is a “flashlight” activity.

On Wednesday, April 4th, the two kindergarten classes will be painting in a “deep, dark cave”, (the art tables pushed together and draped with butcher paper). It is very dark, so students are encouraged to bring flashlights for art class. Since students will be crawling around while painting, I would suggest that they wear OLD play clothes for the day. There is a great possibility that the clothes will get paint on them. It is fine to wear the clothes for the whole day. However, we will have Mass that morning, so pants would be a better clothing selection.

If you have any questions, please fill free to call and leave a message at the school office @ 352-1243 or email me at schappelow@holyspirit-indy.org.

Thanks,
Mrs. Chappelow
